Day 6 of 31 Halloween cocktails that won’t rot your teeth (but might rot your brain)

This is another Educated Barlfy find. I've never used Genepy de Alpes before, despite the fact that it's been around since the early 1800s. The main component in this liqueur is mountain sage, which gives it an herbaceous kick, and is often likened to Absinthe or Green Chartreuse, but mellower.

This is definitely one where I looked at all the ingredients with a quizzical brow, but I was pleasantly surprised. Haunted by its flavors one could say...

Golden Ghost

3/4 oz Mezcal Espadin
3/4 oz Tequila Blanco
3/4 oz Genepy de Alpes
3/4 oz White Creme de Cacao
1 dash Orange bitters

Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice until chilled. Strain into a chilled coup glass.
