A criminally easy cocktail to make, In Cold Blood balances bitterness with notes of sweet and salty—all the characteristics of your favorite villain or serial killer. Ingredients

1 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. sweet vermouth
1 oz. Cynar

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in a double rocks glass.

  • Add a large ice cube and stir.

  • Express a lemon peel over the drink then drop it in.

  • Garnish with the pinch of salt.
