1. Pumpkin Daiquiri

A seasonally balanced cocktail

I’m kicking off October's 31 Halloween cocktails that won't rot your teeth (but might rot your brain) with a warm-weather bridge between summer and fall: the pumpkin daiquiri. It's still too hot for my liking here in San Diego, but this tropical, pumpkin spice–tinged bevy strikes the perfect balance between the tank tops of today and the sweaters of next week. (Recipe inspired by a similar mix from Simon Difford)

1. Pumpkin Daiquiri

Ingredients
2 oz. aged rum (I used Flor de Caña 7 year)
2 ⁄ 3 oz. lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1 ⁄ 2 oz. Portland Syrups pumpkin spice syrup

Method

• Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until cold.
• Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass.
• Garnish with a lime wedge.
